Why does my hair look so amazing after swimming in a pool?

I have a curly perm and really oily hair which is super dry and damaged at the ends. I have to use copious amounts of leave-in conditioner to keep the frizz at bay and lock my curls together and shampoo my scalp every single day to get rid of the oily look on my scalp. Whenever I go to the pool, though, my hair dries perfect and I don't shower after, add product or scrunch or do anything. (If I were to do nothing after a normal shower my curls would be limp, hair dry and frizzy) The curls are softer than they've ever been, lustrous, the ringlets are tighter and perfect, there's no oil at all and no frizz. I don't know if it's chlorine or salt or whatever, but I'd love to know how to repeat the effect without a pool.

I can't finalize my mini-DVD?

First off, I'm sorry about all your problems right now but you can overcome all of them. You just have to have faith in God and in yourself. Just take life one day at a time. Period cramps during pregnancy...?

I am 5 weeks pregnant. I had morning sickness, sore breasts, headaches, and really bad gas since 3 weeks. And I have had cramping since ovulation. On Monday I tried to induce a miscarriage using copious amounts of vitamin C and massaging that spot between my pointer and thumb. On Tuesday all symptoms went away except missed period and stuffer nose (but then again it is spring). I also get period like cramps after sex. It feels like my uterus or vagina passage is contracting. It fees like a painful thump. Am I still pregnant and when would I get blood work done to see if I still was. 5 weeks is too early for a sonogram and if I just miscarried then there still would be too much of the hcG hormone in my system to get an accurate result. And I just want an answer to my question, not a lecture on the sanctity of life or the dangers of self abortion. I have my reasons for doing it and if it turns out that I still am pregnant than most likely I'm going to go to planned parenthood for an abortion even though it is so expensive I just want to know if the cramps I'm experiencing are contractions or my uterus stretching out.

Is it bad for the skin to use lotion as make up remover?

I have make up that's really hardcore and meant to stay on, long lasting, all day. The only problem with it was that normal make up remover didn't cut it when it came to getting it off my skin. Even using copious amounts of remover, I still ended up with streaks of make up that wouldn't come off easily. So I ended up having to use the remover, then hot water and soap scrubbing for a while, then some remover again and finally I'd be able to wash my face and put on lotion. This all left my skin really red(Go figure). Anyway, I got my normal face lotion and they had changed something in it so it was more oily than normal and I ended up changing brands and never using it again. Then when I was trying to get my make up off one night I wondered if the oil in it would make it easily to remove my make up. The clouds open up, angels sing, putting a little bit of lotion on a towel makes the make up come right off. Even my water proof stuff that I normally spent around ten minutes scrubbing at. So basically I use the lotion to take off the make up, then I wash my face like I do every night, put on my less oily night time make up on and go to bed. What I'm wondering is, is it bad for the skin to use lotion as a make up remover? It seemed like it would be better than the chemicals used in make up remover but will it saturate make up particles into my skin or something?

I was charged with somethin and the prosecutor let me participate in a program to withdraw the charge. The program was completed and I am just waiting to go back to court to get it finalized. I need advice on a situation I got myself into. I met this woman 3 years ago and we started out just seeing each other and kissing. After 6 months it turned into a physical relationship. I knew she was married and her husband had an affair as well. I figured she was using me to get back at him, only to find out that I was falling in love with her and vice versa. After talking about the trust issues and miscarriages, we took a break again, only this time she was legally separated from her husband and was asking him to move within 6 months. She was giving him time to get his finances right and then the divorce would be finalized. During this time she text, called, and we met from time to time. All in all I stayed over at her house at least once a week and slept with her, spent time with her, and when she was on a business trip we would get a hotel. This affair was killing me, butt I was in love with her and her child grew on me and I loved him too. Fast forward to now, back in March we decided to wait until the divorce was finalized to continue our relationship. So we respected each other and didn't call or text until she was divorced.

I think the main thing you need to decide here is, are you ready to fight for your country. A lot of people go into the reserves to improve their life but rarely think they will ever actually be called up to serve and you can be. Truth is you are a reserve, as in if they need you to go somewhere you have to go, that is what they are paying for, you to be on call 24/7 for your country. Even if they can guarantee you will be inside a building, are you ok with where that building might be? How to show appreciation to parents more?

My parents came from nothing, and have built everything up from the bottom, and although we are not rich nor poor, I feel like i take too much granted for them. How can I keep up with my work and get good grades throughout High School?

I am in 10th grade and I go to a private High School and I don't mean to brag, but I am very intelligent. I am one of the smartest kids in my class and I know that I can do very well in school, but I have a hard time keeping up on my homework and studying for tests, or exams, or things like that. I recently took the PSAT and I got an overall score of 164. Also worth noting is the fact that I score higher on "critical reading" than 95% of kids my age, higher on math than 63% of kids my age, and higher on "writing skills" than 77% of kids my age. I had the highest overall score in the class and take into consideration that I go to a private school that has much more "intellectual" students than the average public school. 98% of kids in my school move on to higher learning after high school. So, the problem here is: I am very intelligent and I can do well on such exams as the ACT, PSAT, or SAT, but I can't seem to keep up with the extreme, massive, copious amount of homework that is assigned in my classes. It is an absolute shame to see other students, that I know aren't as bright as I am, doing better than me. My GPA is not the greatest and I just can't keep up with all the work. For example, my Algebra class is sickening. The amount of work, coupled with the overbearing extremity of the material involved, is unbelievable. I really don't know what to do. I am under the impression that colleges look at GPA above all else, and mine is much lower than my capability. Please help me.......It would be horrible to let my opportunities go to waste. Can you get Child Support in ARkansas if you are still married, not living together but NOT legally separated?

I have a very good friend that is going through some marriage issues. He has one daughter with his wife whom he has been separated from for about a year now. There was an incident at his work where she came in screaming and wondering where their daughter was (although she had dropped the child off at his mothers house herself just hours before) She continued to screaming and then slapped him when he ignored her. He did nothing. She slapped him one last time. He proceeded to push her out of the building. HE called the police on her (they reviewed the video cameras). She went to the hospital a week later stating that she was beat up by him (not knowing he already reported the incident). The state got involved and no charges were ever filed against him. However, the state offered her FREE LEGAL aid to file for a divorce. She started the process, but states that she never pushed the divorce papers through. I am thinking this is when a LEGAL SEPARATION might have been drawn up; however he is not aware of anything and was never made to sign anything. From my research, you have to be Legally Separated in order to file Child Support on your husband. But I am thinking when she allowed the state to take over all the Legal matters they did everything at once. Because he was actually giving her more money before the child support was issued. If a separation was in fact issued. How would he go about finding out this information? And in Arkansas, if you are Legally Separated how difficult would it to go ahead and finalize it to a divorce?

Sorry to hear you are having so many problems... Have they tb tested you? Or have they just given you the its likely it's not tb talk. Your WBC count is up prob bc or the auto immune disease or because what's happening in your lungs is an attack from some sOrt of pathogen. I am guessing since u have not responded to all the antibiotics that it's viral, but shame on them for giving you such a cocktail. That could cause more problems in the end. What i recommend is going to see a resp. Specialist who knows better than Er docs. Really they are just there for emergency situations and are not the best for 100% specialty diagnosis. Dog urine in carpet of rental?

We just moved into a house were there is copious amounts of dog urine in the carpet. We informed our landlord and after a battle he agreed to have the carpets steam cleaned. The cleaner used a little enzymatic spray but the urine came back up. Now he won't have the carpets cleaned again because he says he made an effort and our standards are too high. How can I keep up with my work and get good grades throughout High School?

I am in 10th grade and I go to a private High School and I don't mean to brag, but I am very intelligent. I am one of the smartest kids in my class and I know that I can do very well in school, but I have a hard time keeping up on my homework and studying for tests, or exams, or things like that. I recently took the PSAT and I got an overall score of 164. Also worth noting is the fact that I score higher on "critical reading" than 95% of kids my age, higher on math than 63% of kids my age, and higher on "writing skills" than 77% of kids my age. I had the highest overall score in the class and take into consideration that I go to a private school that has much more "intellectual" students than the average public school. 98% of kids in my school move on to higher learning after high school. So, the problem here is: I am very intelligent and I can do well on such exams as the ACT, PSAT, or SAT, but I can't seem to keep up with the extreme, massive, copious amount of homework that is assigned in my classes. It is an absolute shame to see other students, that I know aren't as bright as I am, doing better than me. My GPA is not the greatest and I just can't keep up with all the work. For example, my Algebra class is sickening. The amount of work, coupled with the overbearing extremity of the material involved, is unbelievable. I really don't know what to do. I am under the impression that colleges look at GPA above all else, and mine is much lower than my capability. Please help me.......It would be horrible to let my opportunities go to waste. I assumed it was and went back to my original name. A year later, I was in court to finalize my son's adoption and found out that my name was NOT changed back. I have been active duty as an airborne infantryman and in the reserves as a engineer detachment commander. First and foremost, my advice to you is to not join the military soley for money for your education. The only good reason to join the armed forces is because you want to serve, not that you are in an educational/economical bind. I have seen too many variations of your situation in which a person joined for other reasons than truly wanting to be there and serve. Their stories have always ended unfavorably for them. Additionally, the reserves only offer a fraction of what active duty service does for education. I went to a very expensive private college with my active duty gi bill ONLY because I served 4 years in active duty. Comparatively, serving 8 years in the army reserves (or any branch's reserves) would never have allowed the same benefits I recieved out of my active duty service.

I'm divorcing her for having an affair and I am taking the house. Can I have sex before the divorce is finalized? My worry is that if she wants to challenge me getting the house, she will actually have a case if she found out i had sex before the divorce was finalized.

How to copy a finalized small recorded disk from my handycam to a regular sized dvd disk?

I have the small dvd-rw disks that I use to record movies in my Handycam camcorder. I have finalized the disks so that I can watch them in my regular dvd player or my computer dvd drive. I am trying to figure out how I can make a copy of these movies on the small disk to a regular sized dvd player so that I can send videos of my kids to my family. Im not sure if I can only do this if I had recorded on the internal memory or a memory stick or there is someway that I can take the small disk and burn a copy of it to a regular sized dvd disk. I am very confused and not that great with this type of thing so I hope someone out there knows what I am trying to say and will be able to help me in simple terms that I will be able to understand.. thanks!

Address changes during divorce with no lawyer?

My husband and I are getting a divorce. It's uncontested (no kids and we already split our possessions and have documentation saying that it was satisfactory... yay, notary!). Neither of us has a lot of money, so we decided to go without a lawyer. The only problem is that his ID still reads our old address together (where he no longer lives and where I will be moving out of in a week). He does not have an "official" new place to live. I was wondering if the address on the divorce papers has to match the address on his driver's license for the divorce to be finalized. Should I wait for his to get his address finalized (which could take months), insist that he switch his ID to his temporary address, or just go ahead and file with the address not on the ID?

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 3yrs now and we have been living with each other for about 2yrs. Whe we first met each other he was going through a divorce which was taking awhile and he was going thru alot of emotional stress and financial. We took things really slow at first. Whe the divorce was finalized we started getting more serious and we got a place together. It was hard for awhile becauase he took the anger he had on his ex out on me. He would lash out in anger when he had an argument with her or if he had to pay the attorney and wasn't left with much money he would take his anger out on me. (of course i did give money for some of the bills) he was jst mean to me. he would leave to go help his best friend who was girl move and didn't get home till late, he would curse at me and he would ignore me. i would try to make up with him but it wouldn't do any good. he would try to make me fell guilty if i was too tired for sex and then just storm out of the house without saying bye to me in the morning. if we had an argument he would tell me to leave and move out, twice. Well after about 8mnths he started changing a bit for the better, so i thought. I have always treated him good and as well as his kids. i clean, cook , do laundry, pay bills, make his lunch every week day morning and see him off to work and see the kids off when we do have them. He just doesn't care about my feelings it's always about his. if i'm having a bad day he says things like so have i or he'll accuse of something and make me feel worse. i got myself a car the other day because nothing we have is mine or in my name, the apt, the cars, nothing. so i wanted something that was mine, that i worked hard for. and if he were to throw me out again i would have a way to get to work. but he got made at me about getting a car and thinks i just want to leave him. i don't want to but i can't continue to arguing and him being insensitive, he doesn't hold me when i cry, he isn't romantic, he doesn't just tell me he loves me just because, he gets mad at me if i'm mad. everything is always about him and he always makes himself out to be victim. it has been about him for 2yrs now i want to be thought about. sometimes he tells me "then maybe i should just worry about me and the kids" what is that? after everything i do he tells me that?1? i have never turned my back on him ever but he has turned his on me. i wish he would change but i know if hasn't by now he won't. Buyer puts down a deposit on a car then backs out. Who gets the deposit?

I am selling a 98 Honda Civic, and I met with somebody to look at the car. They liked everything about it and decided to give me $150 to hold it until after the weekend when they would come pay the rest and transfer the title. They contacted me the next day, said they had a change in "financial plans" and would not be buying the car and included an address to return the money to. Within that time period I turned away close to 20 people who inquired about the car because according to the buyers who put down the deposit it was already theirs. My questions is I get to keep the $150 cash deposit correct? It is my understanding that the deposit is considered "good faith" money and thus subtracted from the overall price of the car when they buyers come to finalize the deal. If they don't come to finalize the deal, I keep the monies because of loss of business correct? Also, there was no contract or anything of that nature. Thanks

Seriously, it would be easier if you checked each word in the dictionary/thesaurus (even online) and wrote out a small summary for each word. I used to write difficult words, with a brief description, in a small book when I was in Primary school. When you write these words out it makes it easier for you to recall them in the future. Just saying what would most likely be best in the long run for you. Good luck and try my method first.

Help! please! im in ALOT of pain!?

i was inserting a tampon when i was on my period and the plastic bit at the top was sticking out but i shoved it up anyway quite roughly. Afterwards i noticed i was in a lot of pain and had to take the tampon out and it hurt so much i cried with the pain. There was alot of blood on the tampon andit couldnt have been from my period bcause it was only in for about a minute. Thats when i realised that i must have cut myself with the tampon. Its now three days later, my periods over but im in ALOT of pain! it stings so much when i pee and it hurts when i sit down. i have to change my knickers about 5 times a day because they are all blood from the cut inside my vagina. i dont know what to do its soo painful :( can someone please help me!

I have a Sony Hybrid video camera and i have a video that i want to save to my computer on it. I finalized the videos on to the disc and then i connected my camera to my computer. Doctor issues, moms of toddlers?

I just took my toddler to for a reassessment but the doctor thinks he's still behind. IE: not drinking from a cup or drawing things or being able to stack 3 blocks on top of each other. To give a little more information: My son is 19 months and I don't let him play with crayons and I think a cup can wait til he's 2 years old. He can stack two blocks on top of each other. The first assessment was at18 months and she (the doctor) said he wasn't talking much so he needed to come back for anther one in a month. So I brought him back again and this time she seems to think his fine motor skills are a problem. To add, at 9 months his head was measuring a little small so she sent him to pt (physical therapy) and to a neurologist. We found out he just has a small head like me. We spent copious amount of money that didn't need to be spent. And now she wants to send him to a special learning classes. I feel like she's trying to get as much money out of us as she can. I think we need a second opinion, can anyone relate?
