Is this a good introduction to an essay?

There are copious amounts of World War two films that show the struggles of Jews and the power Hitler had over them. The film “The Pianist” directed by Roman Polanski does show the struggles of the time but on a more realistic and complex level. The art of Polanski is clearly seen through his unique way of portraying the protagonist, Wzaldslaw Szpilmans story. He does this by combining productions features such as camera techniques, colour, sound and the characters actions to portray a view of themes such as Survival, The power of music and The importance of hope that relates closely to society and reality today. This is primarily shown through the scene often referred to as “playing for his life”.
