How can I remove the hair around my anus without it coming up in a rash?

Unfortunately, I get blonde wispy hairs that grow around my anus. I've shaved it and I always get little red, sore spots where I've shaved, despite the copious amount of aftershave and Sudocrem I've rubbed on it afterwards. How can I get rid of this hair without this happening? It is NOT attractive.
