Why is producing copious amounts of corn good for America?

There are so many different types of corn. Corn Sugar,& Starch. Corn for plastics, And cloth, Feed corn for animals, oil, 15% alcohol Fuel coming up. Export, Wold food shortage today. I don't see a surplus of it setting around. So I guess the farmer is right. He is selling all he has. And weather, 45 day to 9 month corn. Easy to cross bread,compared to wheat and rice. Reliable crop, large yields per acre, compared to other crops, Cheap to grow, Ideal for modern machinery to plant and harvest, Jobs, Your right. I do fruits and Veggies, More work for me with out corn. Hold on I am already working 70 hours a week on that. More Corn please!
