Is it illegal to file for a divorce twice?

I filed for a contested divorce in California April 11th and it would take the 6 month waiting period for it to be finalized. (The contested was because he would not sign.) I decided last month that would be to long so I flew to Guam with a notarized letter from him stating that he agrees to a divorce and presented that to my lawyer in Guam which made that filing uncontested. My Guam divorce was finalized June 2. I was wondering if the Guam divorce is void since I had previously filed in California. Thank you.
